Successful curative treatment in the town of salt springs
The clinic has 126 wards and aims to alleviate the effect of occupational diseases and improve the health of the patient concerned. The focus of the medical work is placed on disorders typical - at least in earlier times - for the glass and ceramics processing industries, such as asbestosis and asbestos-related forms of cancer, silicosis, other pneumoconioses and lung fibrosis, obstructive respiratory disorders caused by allergenic or chemical-irritants or toxic substances. Outstanding expertise also exists in the treatment of conditions following chest trauma and for occupational skin diseases.

Diagnostics and therapy
A major focus in the treatment of respiratory and lung diseases is physical therapy. Breathing exercises, physical training and inhalation stabilise the state of health. Training on proper breathing and coughing techniques, hydro, electrical and thermotherapy, as well as physiotherapy and relaxation exercises, complete the clinic's health programme. Patients with occupational skin diseases receive dermatological treatment, training as well as support in the areas of health pedagogy, psychological and occupational therapy.

The team
The clinic's team - qualified employees, seven doctors (occupational physicians, allergists, internists, dermatologists) - and modern medical equipment facilitate optimum treatment.
|
Location
The clinic is situated in the centre of Bad Reichenhall. The city is known for its salt springs. The salt water from the depths of the mountains is irreplaceable for successful curative treatment. The natural scenery with its mild alpine climate is ideal for hiking.
