Cutting edge expertise in patient treatment and saving lives – the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (ukb) is one of the largest and most excellent trauma centres in Germany.

Thanks to a carefully coordinated structure of 20 specialized departments and institutes the ukb contributes greatly to the availability of medical treatment in Berlin, Brandenburg and other federal states. Since its opening in 1997, the ukb also provides comprehensive and long-term treatment for the severely injured nationwide. Each year, more than 49,000 emergency patients are treated in the ukb, almost 20,000 are admitted for in-patient care.

The ukb and its departments are prepared for emergency and disaster situations 24 hours a day – no matter what.
